Victor RUELA (PhD15) has introduced his PhD topic in this blog post.

The article showcases an application of advanced analytics in steel ladle management, highlighting its connection to the decision-making levels in a steel plant and the potential applications that can be explored.  This is one of the contributions from PhD15 in the context of CEAREF WP4.

WP4 aims to improve energy efficiency and refractory lifetime in steelmaking by leveraging digital methods, real-time data, machine learning, and optimization. The application of innovative decision-making tools can reduce resource consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with the European Green Deal objectives.
